In 1989, John began his professional diving career by starting the PADI Divemaster Program at Scuba Training Center in Dallas. TX. John completed his divemaster certification on February 24, 1990. John stated, “I wanted to become a Divemaster to meet more divers and have an opportunity to dive more often.”

John became a certified Open Water Diver on April 29, 1985 in Lake Tenkiller near Tulsa, OK. Since then, he has steadily achieved higher certification levels and increased his diving activity. Currently, John makes approximately 250 ocean dives per year.
